Bouquet preservation

Keepsakes ~
If you have any special flowers from a wedding, funeral, engagement, baby shower, birthday, or any kind of event that you may want as a keepsake, please enquire on the front page via ‘keepsake enquiry form’. Keep in mind that the flowers need to be pressed no later than 4-5 days once they have been received, if this is possible! This is to allow for the best outcome as the flowers will be in their ideal condition to be pressed.

For an even better outcome, if this is something that can be arranged ahead of time, it is important to do so. I can never guarantee that absolutely everyone’s flowers will be able to be pressed and that comes down to different factors such as where you live (how long travel time will be as the flowers may need to be couriered) the flowers themselves, the condition the flowers are in etc.

Some of my lovely customers have put their trust in me to create with their dried bouquets and have been super happy with the result! I love working with them, it’s a great creative challenge for me, and I think it’s a beautiful way to display them - as well as increase their longevity. If you have a dried bouquet, please let me know when you fill out the form. I will ask you to send through a couple of photos as that will allow me to get a feel for whether or not I can work with your individual flowers.

Customs ~ I can also create custom frames for you. These are generally based on the sort of flowers, colours and style you are desiring - which I will do my best to achieve. I love creating customs because we can tailor it to your interior in your home - whether that be cool tones or warm tones etc. These frames can create a lot of cohesion and really enhance your space because of it! Please fill out the keepsake form on the front page of my website and just specify you are after a custom.

Recreated ~ Recreated bouquets also hold a special place in my heart. They can bring memories back to life from that significant moment in time. One of my beautiful customers wanted to surprise her mum with a recreated bouquet that replicated that of her wedding, where unfortunately, her flowers were ruined. So we recreated a frame to surprise her mum with! Isn’t that the most special surprise gift.

A bit about flowers ~ Working with nature is a beautiful process. Some flowers press better than others and no two flowers press the same. Some flowers change colour while others hold their original colour. I have spent a lot of time refining my technique to get the flowers to hold their colour in the way they do. The deconstruction and pressing of your bouquet takes time. Some flowers have to be pressed petal by petal for best result. You can expect the flowers to fade over longer, extended periods of time as this is just the natural process - but their shape will hold forever. I do use a UV protection spray on your flowers to help them to hold their colour, but it is still super important to keep your flowers out of direct sunlight. A lot of patience and care goes into this process. I move at the pace nature moves.

For standard keepsakes I ask for a $50 deposit to secure your date, and the rest of the payment once your design is complete. For an XL - A3, I ask for a $150 deposit to secure your date, and the rest of the payment once your design is complete.

I am currently in the process of having different frame options available. If you are interested in a particular size, we can discuss this further. I also offer different design options in terms of layout which we will chat about as I send through all the details.

I look forward to working with you loves! 🌸
